Abacus Group goes mobile ‘automatically’…
The launch of the Abacus Hotels website saw the first release of a new development to our Hotel system that automatically resized the page (including its contents) to fit the viewers screen resolution. This allows us to build a single site and provide the client with both a normal size system and a fully functioning ‘mobile’ site.
Up until now all systems have worked in pretty much the same way. As the screen size reduces the system detects it and resizes the content to try to ft it in. It doesn’t however change the content.
Our new ‘Adaptive’ system allows us to identify which content to keep and which to drop as the space we have to display it changes, the less space the less data.

This has allowed us to supply Abacus with a site that works exactly as they want on Desktops, Laptops, tablets and Mobiles, seamlessly and at a fraction of the cost of building multiple sites.
Eden Hotel Collection keeps growing…
Since winning the contract to take over the supply of Web site services to the EHC in 2009 we’ve designed, built and launched eight websites for the Eden Hotel Collection. Each site gives the hotel full control over content and photography allowing them to provide an excellent, up to date representation of their offering.
2012 has been a particularly busy year with the purchase of three former Von Essen properties and the move of their head office to Coventry Airport.
We’re currently under taking an overhaul of the sites for search engine optimisation and to streamline the administration of Special Offers and Events to help the existing team support the additional properties.
New sites launched for Cathedral Hotel’s..
We have launched new web sites for both the Eynsham Hall, Oxfordshire and The Sundridge Park Manor in Kent. The two hotels are owned by the Cathedral Group but operated and marketed under their own brands.
The new sites both included our standard hotel modules for; Photo Gallery, Interactive Location and Local Attractions mapping, Special Offers & Event Promotion, Delivery management for Enquiry Forms, Brochure management, Mailing Lists, Social Bookmarking & Send to Friend, News & Press, Gift Vouchers, Careers, SEO Management and of course reporting.
Allow their respective Marketing teams to edit all content text, update photography and add special offers and events with no specific technical knowledge.
We also set up a separate access to the admin system for their incumbent Search Engine marketing company to allow tem to directly manage keywords and phrases saving time and reducing costs.
